I am an immigration attorney, based in New York City, and practicing immigration law for the past 10 years. I have been the owner and senior attorney of this boutique immigration law firm since 2016. I have more than 25 years worth of legal experience, ranging from corporate law to immigration law.

My legal career began in 1994, when I graduated from the Government Law College (Trivandrum, India) with a Bachelor of Laws. I then spent close to 12 years working as the Law Manager at Canara Bank, a public sector bank based in India, worth well over $170 billion dollars. As the primary legal counsel for numerous branches, I was entrusted with defending the bank in court, tribunals, arbitral proceedings, and consumer dispute redressal forums, as well as appearing on behalf of bank in eviction proceedings. I, then, received my Master of Laws from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N Cardozo School of Law in 2015. That same year I was admitted into the New York State Bar as a practicing attorney. A year later, I started the Law Offices of Bindu Sanjeevkumar. Since starting this firm, I have had the honor to attend some complex and challenging cases on the behalf of my clients. There are a myriad of visas that I have helped my clients procure, including the well-known H1B visa, the procedurally complex O-1 visa, the methodical E-2 visa, and many more. My team and I will be with you every step of the immigration process, starting with filing of application to preparing you for your interview with USCIS. Perhaps most important amongst the numerous cases I have represented are the “Adjustment of Status” cases, which see the transition of clients from their non-immigrant visa status to Green Card.
